This site (faizahmed.in) is a personal profile and blog. It is built to respect your privacy: it sets no cookies, shows no ads, and collects no personal data about you unless you choose to subscribe to the newsletter (see below).

Analytics

Visit statistics are measured with Umami, a cookieless, privacy-first analytics tool. It records aggregate page views and referrers, with no cookies, no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking, and no data that identifies you. Because it collects no personal data, no consent banner is required.

Newsletter

If you subscribe using the form on the site, it stores the email address you enter (and your name, if you choose to provide it). This is used for one purpose: to email you when a new post is published. It is never sold, rented, or shared for advertising.

Subscriber emails are processed by Resend, a third-party email provider acting as a data processor under a signed Data Processing Agreement; Resend maintains SOC 2 Type II compliance. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, which removes you from the list.

Embedded content

Some posts embed third-party content that only loads when you choose to use it:

• YouTube videos load only after you click the thumbnail. Until then, nothing is requested from YouTube. Once you play a video, Google/YouTube may set cookies under their own privacy policy.
• Diagrams on a few posts load the Mermaid library from a public CDN (jsDelivr) to render charts in your browser.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and served through Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic request data (such as your IP address) to deliver and secure the site. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

What the site does not do

• No accounts, logins, or comment forms.
• No advertising or third-party tracking scripts.
• External links open in a new tab and are governed by their own privacy policies.

Your data

The only personal data the site stores is the email address (and optional name) of newsletter subscribers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, which removes you from the list. To request deletion of your subscriber data, or for any other privacy question, reach me via the links on the About page.
